Shobac - a place of solace
Shobac is one of the most unique wedding venues in Atlantic Canada. Located where the Atlantic Ocean meets the LaHave River in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, the site offers an idyllic spot to celebrate marriage with family and friends. The wedding ceremony can be held outside in the courtyard overlooking the bold ocean. Alternatively, the historic 1890 Troop Barn is an ideal interior setting for this special occasion. The octagonal Troop Barn can also accommodate up to 175 people for receptions, dinners and dances. The studio at Shobac seats 40 people for a smaller wedding or rehearsal party.
Shobac is truly a magical place in a secluded location “far from the madding crowd” where guests are free to celebrate without imposing on others. The wedding venue is rented by the week (Saturday to Saturday) from May to October, with up to 40 people housed on site in internationally acclaimed, architecturally designed dwellings. Numerous overnight rental accommodations are available in the local area.
